Mr. Schenkel brings nearly 30 years in total, and 15 years of technology and software business development to YourOmics. For the last 10 years, he has served as President and CEO of NeoProteomics, Inc. a scientific consulting and contract research company based in Cleveland, OH. At NeoProteomics, Mr. Schenkel oversees all business development, contract negotiation, strategic direction, customer acquisition, and operational activities. Under his stewardship, NeoProteomics, has won numerous contractual engagements with major pharmaceutical companies and some of the World’s most prestigious research institutions. He has also secured a significant IP portfolio for the company and successfully launched several software products.

Dr. Mark Chance is a national leader in proteomics and bioinformatics research and responsible for determining the scientific vision and direction of NeoProteomics. Dr. Chance is currently Vice Dean for Research, Director of the Center for Proteomics and Bioinformatics, and Professor in the Department of Nutrition and the Department of Genetics and genome Sciences at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He is an internationally recognized expert in proteomics and structural biology with over 260 publications that have been cited over 10,000 times (H-index of 58) who has built multiple internationally recognized science and training programs over a 25-year career in academia. Currently, as Director of the Center for Proteomics and Bioinformatics at Case Western Reserve University he is involved in leading and supporting a wide range of research programs using technologies ranging from next generation sequencing to mass spectrometry to crystallography and in fields from cancer to infectious disease to vision research. He has been a leader in clinical and translational research within the Center for Translational Science Collaborative and the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. He has led an NIH-funded Molecular Biophysics PhD program and recently established a Systems Biology and Bioinformatics graduate program at CWRU in 2011.
Sean brings more than ten years of experience developing distributed, large scale software systems to YourOmics, as well as an undergraduate degree in computer science and a master's degree in systems biology. He enjoys making computational methods accessible to everyone using intuitive web-based visualizations and scalable cloud infrastructures.
Steve Chance has been a lawyer for over thirty-five years, first as a partner in a large Philadelphia law firm and later, as general counsel of a New York stock exchange listed manufacturing company with over 125 facilities in the United States, Europe and Asia. In that position he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, technology transfers and complex financial transactions. For the past six years he has been a business/law consultant assisting clients with both complex and routine transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, technology transfers, private equity and VC financings and negotiating and successfully settling disputes. He moved to Santa Fe two years ago and has been involved in business mentoring through SCORE, as a board member of the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico and as Chairman of the Special Events Committee of the Council on International Relations.
